Summary
The HR Coordinator will assist in various HR functions to ensure efficient operations, and a positive employee experience aligned with Bison’s culture and core values. This role is instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our HR processes through the entire employee journey.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Assist in coordinating recruitment activities including: job posting, assisting in workflow set up, managing templates for dispositions/email responses/etc., ensuring each candidate receives a response, and scheduling interviews.
- Maintain up-to-date on federal and state employment laws and regulations including managing poster compliance in all Bison locations working with field admins as needed.
- Support onboarding through setting up new hires in Paycom, sending new hire template welcome emails and paperwork, completing onboarding checklist, gathering swag, taking photo if not already in Paycom, setting up workspaces, coordinating badges, doing first day tour, collaborate with Field Office Administrator to manage the allocation and distribution of company truck keys to new hires as needed, and other duties as needed.
- Assist with updating, developing and implementing of HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance. Including annual review of handbook and policies.
- Assist in the backend set up and testing for performance review logistics.
- Assist with planning and testing for employee training initiatives including preparing safety training packets for applicable new hires.
- Help with employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist in benefits through participating in open enrollment planning, communication, ensuring new hires enroll timely, and be a contact for benefit-related inquiries escalating issues as needed.
- Oversee Ask Here inquiries, escalating as needed, and tabulating missed meal breaks weekly to ensure compliance.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and update internal databases including frequent audits of information.
- Maintain seating chart.
- Create and update business cards as needed.
- Participate in offboarding procedures as needed.
- Draft and post employee communications as requested, ensuring clarity and consistency.
- Maintain the SharePoint platform to ensure information accuracy and accessibility while continuously seeking improvements.
- Oversee and drive monthly communication calendar to ensure continued education on benefits, anonymous reporting, company events, EAP resources, etc.
- Assist in driving corporate mission, vision, and values.
- Assist in random drug screening planning and communication.
- Assist with MVR monitoring, auditing who is included, ensuring continual monitoring, reviewing and escalating any new hits, resolving hits that are not an issue, and maintaining up-to-date information.

Education and Experience (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Previous experience in HR Coordination or administration
- Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new programs quickly
Education and Experience (preferred)
- SHRM or HRIC certification or similar
- Familiarity with oil & gas operations
- Knowledge of HR best practices and employment law
- Previous experience with Paycom, Monday, etc.
Other Requirements
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening
- Ability to legally work in the US without sponsorship
Compensation
Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $53,000.00 - $81,000.00 annually in this location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amount listed above.

Location
This position is located Denver, CO. Candidates currently residing in locations outside of daily commuting distance will be considered, however, it is the expectation that the selected individual will be available at the work location. No relocation or travel assistance will be provided by the Company for this position.
Work Environment
This position operates in an office environment. This entails working inside in an office space wherein employee may be provided a public workstation (cubicle) or private office. From time to time, the role may require field visits where exposure to extreme weather conditions, fumes, airborne particles, vibrations, dust, electrical charges and other unforeseen exposures may be encountered.
Physical Demands
In the performance of the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to have visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle and view a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time. While at work sites, the employee will be expected to walk and stand. Individuals might be asked to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and/or crawl. Individuals might be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. in the performance of this position.
Position Type and Working Hours
This is a full-time position. Core work hours are M-Th, 9:00am-4:00pm and working Fridays 9:00am-3:00pm. Employee must be capable and willing to work overtime as required and to participate in occasional meetings, events, seminars, conferences, or other activities outside of typical work hours. Employees responsible for project operations are expected to monitor and, in some cases, respond to emails, calls, or texts outside of business hours.
Travel
Occasional travel to work site locations may be expected. Overnight stays may be required from time to time for training, seminars, field visits, or visits to onsite locations.
