Position: Design Cybersecurity Engineer
Location: Ft. Worth, TX
Level 2 engineer is 2-6 years– $101,000 to $111,000
Level 3 engineer is 6 years to 11 years - $128,000 to $140,000
Level 4 engineer is 11 years to 20 years – $157,000 to $172,000 (with annual bonus of 5%)
Level 5 engineer is 20 plus years – $191,000 to $205,000 (with annual bonus of 10%)
Desired Skill Set:
- Minimum of 2 years of genuine engineering design experience.
- Proven experience in developing, integrating, and testing systems/software within an embedded aircraft environment.
- Expertise in system/sub-system cybersecurity, including redundancy, independence, criticalities, systems separation, and dependencies of functions.
- Proficient as an aircraft integrator with a deep understanding of data flow and allocation across multiple design functions.
- Hands-on experience with user/device authentication, embedded cross-domain solutions, tactical cryptographic key management, embedded encryption, or embedded intrusion protection/detection systems.
Plusses:
- Proficiency in Model-Based Systems Engineering (CAMEO proficiency desired).
- Familiarity with DO-178C and DO-254 standards.
- Experience with Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) and Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE).
- Knowledge of communication standards such as ARINC 429, Mil-Std 1553, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, TSN, DDS, SSL/TLS).
- Experience with security-related protocols like ARINC 653, 615A, and 655-5.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is required. Degrees in Mechanical or other Engineering disciplines may be considered with relevant experience.
Day to Day: A Fortune 500 aerospace and defense company is seeking a Product Cybersecurity Engineer to join their team in Fort Worth, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in developing, integrating, and testing systems/software in an embedded aircraft environment. This role involves interfacing with suppliers, defining requirements, and working in a clean sheet design environment. The candidate will be responsible for implementing new architecture in an aircraft environment and must possess excellent communication skills to ensure alignment among all parties.
This position is onsite in Fort Worth, Texas, with a 9/80 work schedule, providing every other Friday off.
