Job Summary: We are seeking an Analytical Scientist. This role involves leading the development and execution of innovative analytical assays to assess product quality attributes of biologic products. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field, extensive lab experience, and proven leadership in protein research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Analytical Method Development: Design and execute complex chromatographic and capillary-based assays with high accuracy and reliability.
- Advanced Instrumentation Utilization: Utilize a broad range of analytical instrumentation to characterize complex products and address unique challenges creatively.
- Data Analysis and Presentation: Interpret and present data using advanced software and statistical tools, maintaining meticulous records in line with regulatory standards.
- Knowledge Transfer and Leadership: Mentor and develop scientific talent within the team, lead training sessions, and ensure high-quality documentation and experimental protocols.
- Collaboration and Strategic Influence: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives, make strategic decisions based on comprehensive data analysis, and contribute to project leadership.
- Continuous Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest scientific publications and methodologies, attend relevant conferences and training sessions, and bring innovative ideas to the team.
- Regulatory Compliance and Lab Safety: Author and update SOPs, ensuring compliance with safety requirements and regulatory guidelines, and maintain a safe and orderly laboratory environment.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field with at least 5 years of industry/post-doctoral experience.
- Demonstrated leadership in protein research and therapeutic protein development.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in software and statistical analysis tools, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional, positive working relationships.
- Knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations.
- High ethical and confidentiality standards.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
