With significant projects across the globe they leverage a network of academic and industrial partners to drive innovation. This role is integral to their commitment to research and development. They are now looking to elevate their senior leadership team with a VP of Atomic Clock Technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement long-term strategies for atomic clock technology, aligning with the company's vision.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team, promoting professional growth and innovation.
- Oversee the design and testing of advanced systems for chip-scale quantum sensors and atomic clocks.
- Work with executive leadership and other departments to integrate technologies into products.
- Represent the company in meetings with partners and at industry conferences to enhance our leadership position.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Atomic, Optical, or Quantum Physics, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years in atomic clock development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Deep knowledge of optical, trapped ion, or microwave atomic clocks.
- Proven ability to lead and scale high-performing R&D teams.
- Experience in developing technology strategies that drive business growth.
Core Technical Expertise
- Knowledge of high-resolution spectroscopic techniques in atomic clocks.
- Expertise in narrow-linewidth lasers and laser frequency stabilization.
- Proficiency with optics, fiber optics, and photodetectors.
- Understanding of analog, digital, and RF electronics for atomic clock systems.
- Experience with control systems and instrumentation for precision measurements.
