Seeking a professional to manage Data Subject Requests (DSRs) under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws. This role involves the end-to-end processing, tracking, and timely completion of client, employee, or third-party DSRs while ensuring compliance with firm policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities:
- Manage DSRs in accordance with GDPR, CCPA, and global privacy regulations
- Track and log DSRs using workflow systems; ensure completion within regulatory timelines
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., HR) to gather relevant personal data
- Review and redact confidential, privileged, or non-personal data; apply legal exemptions where necessary
- Respond to data subject and third-party queries or complaints
- Review privacy controls for vendors and ensure appropriate contractual agreements
- Assess privacy terms and data processing agreements for client engagements
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and global privacy laws
- 2-3 years' experience in legal, compliance, risk, audit, or similar functions
- Experience in large organizations with complex technological environments
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); SharePoint experience preferred
- Experience with Relativity or similar platforms is a plus
- CIPM and/or CIPP/E certification preferred but not required
- Experience in reviewing privacy-related contractual arrangements and tracking cross-border data transfers
- Familiarity with OneTrust and relevant certifications is a plus
- Likely to extend beyond 5 months due to multiple ongoing projects, with potential for contract-to-hire. Position is 100% remote, supporting EST hours.
