The Digital Design Manager will collaborate with leaders in our Engineering Consulting clients Municipal, Land Development, and Construction Services groups to provide strategic and technical vision in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and 3D CAD. This position will lead a team of CAD managers who oversee technical direction, quality management, and training across multiple groups and offices. The successful candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment and bring creative problem solving, effective communication, and strong interpersonal skills.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Builds and updates a Strategic Plan for Autodesk Design Technology
- Designs, implements, and updates the BIM Execution Plan – coordinates with appropriate groups for the inclusion of policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Assesses, develops, implements, and maintains standards.
- Leads the Autodesk CAD management team members to effectively grow, develop, update, and support BIM using Autodesk design technology.
- Develop, implement, and manage the design certification process to drive consistency of use and enhanced quality
- Collaborates with the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) administrators in the design and maintenance of critical systems and infrastructure
- Drives effectiveness and efficiency by setting clear goals and metrics for the design teams; measures results by conducting project level audits of implemented technologies
- Maintains, optimizes, and drives innovation through company partnership with Autodesk
- Collaborates with design teams and project managers to develop and standardize QC procedures across design technology platforms.
- Implement the use and best practices of various BIM/VDC applications throughout the design and construction process using Autodesk products.
- Work with the Company’s Bentley CAD Manager to standardize workflows that can be used with both Bentley and Autodesk software.
- Work with the Company’s Visualization Studio Manager to develop Civil 3D workflows that will create efficiencies in visualization renderings.
- Stay current on the latest design trends and software applications.
- The Manager will remain active in production. Workloads, project expertise and mentorship responsibilities will require this position to remain active in drawing/model production at all times.
- The Manager must be able to travel to other company offices as needed to provide on-boarding, training or technical assistance on an as-needed basis.

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
- AS or BS Degree in a Technical discipline with at least 5+ years of experience working with Autodesk products and a minimum of 3 years managing technical staff.
- Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills required.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while delivering high quality service to internal and external clients.
- Thorough knowledge of Civil Engineering design principles.
- Experience in using Revit and/or Bluebeam is a plus
- Possess a valid driver’s license a good driving record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office a plus.
