Position: Failure Analysis Technician
Location: Durham, NC
Pay: $20 to $22/hour (depending on experience)
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience within an Electronics Tech or relevant role, troubleshooting root cause and failure analysis
- Experience in troubleshooting analog and digital circuits
Education: Associate's degree or higher in Electronics Technology or an equivalent discipline
Type: Full-time; Contract
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
Greene Resources is seeking a Failure Analysis Technician to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Troubleshoot, debug, and determine root causes at multiple system levels for customer devices
- Analyze circuits and topologies to identify marginal failure root causes
- Lead recovery actions and repairs for failing devices
- Develop, maintain, and improve troubleshooting solutions within the area of responsibility
- Collaborate with various engineering groups to assess whether data suggests a need for process or product improvements
- Provide input on opportunities for improvement
- Assist with the fabrication and development of new equipment, fixtures, and test programs
- Enhance the Failure Analysis Procedure and support cross-training initiatives
Position Requirements:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting assembly drawings, schematics, and board layouts
- Experienced with a variety of testing and measuring devices, such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, and benchtop power supplies
- Familiar with data collection and analysis methods
- Ability to set up test stations and device connections according to work instructions
- Knowledgeable in device and test station maintenance
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and possessing a strong sense of personal responsibility
- Strong verbal, customer-facing, and written communication skills
- Well-organized, disciplined, and detail-oriented
