I. Job Summary
Postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Haixun Guo at the Center for Predictive Medicine and Department of Radiology at the University of Louisville, KY, USA.
We are currently recruiting a full-time post-doctoral fellow to join Guo Lab for a 5-year NIH-funded project aiming to develop novel Positron Emission Tomography (PET) agents for molecular imaging of the tumor microenvironment. The appointment term is one-year and renewable. The Guo Lab focuses on the development of novel radiopharmaceuticals for the diagnostic/therapeutic applications in cancer, inflammation, and infection.
The Postdoctoral fellow is expected to conduct specific research as assigned by the faculty mentor. The goal is for the Postdoctoral fellow to continue their development into an independent researcher. The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for conducting experiments on development of novel Positron Emission Tomography (PET) agents and their applications for imaging the tumor microenvironment in animal models, espcially for the tumor immune microenvironment.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and execute research experiments
Analyze experimental data and update research notebooks
Reading literature relevant to research and training objectives
Preparation of manuscripts and written reports
Oral presentations at group/local meetings, attendance at seminars
Training students and technicians
III. Minimum Requirements
A PhD or PhD/MD degree in the field of radiochemistry, molecular imaging, nuclear medicine, or another related biomedical field is required.
IV. Preferred Qualifications
Previous working experience in peptide/protein conjugation, immunology, pharmacology, in vivo PET tumor imaging, or mouse tumor model is an asset. Additionally, the candidate is expected to have good verbal and written communication skills and an independent ability to design and execute experiments.
The applicant should suitably be able to understand and communicate in English. Applicant must be extremely organized and be able to keep excellent records of data. Demonstrate ability to conduct basic radiochemistry, molecular imaging, and biological research, analyze data, and communicate results both orally and in written form.
