Key Responsibilities
Investigate Accidents: Conduct thorough investigations to determine coverage and liability for moderate to high-severity motor vehicle accidents, engaging with customers, claimants, and witnesses.
Accurate Reserves: Maintain precise reserves and manage loss adjustment expenses efficiently, ensuring financial integrity in claims handling.
Effective Communication: Collaborate with various stakeholders including policyholders, agents, underwriters, and claims management to provide timely updates and resolutions.
Adherence to Best Practices: Follow established best practices and litigation management guidelines to uphold quality standards in claims handling.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of our processes and procedures, actively participating in special projects within the claims organization.
Qualifications
Education and Experience: A college degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience, coupled with five to seven years of auto casualty bodily injury claims handling experience.
Industry Designations: Possession of insurance designations such as CPCU, AIC, or SCLA is advantageous.
Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to multitask and prioritize assignments effectively.
Litigation Experience: Previous experience in litigation is preferred, along with in-depth knowledge of customer service techniques and processes.
Presentation Skills: Demonstrated ability to effectively present large loss reports and findings to key stakeholders.
