Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Project Engineer to join our team, supporting the management and execution of various construction projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting with planning, coordination, and oversight, ensuring that all project objectives are met in a timely and cost-effective manner. The role involves working closely with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of construction projects, ensuring all phases are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and daily reports.
- Collaborate with project managers to track project progress, identify potential issues, and develop solutions.
- Support the preparation of project estimates, budgets, and schedules.
- Facilitate communication with subcontractors, suppliers, and other team members to ensure smooth project operations.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
- Participate in pre-construction planning and post-construction closeout activities.
- Assist with the procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of all project-related documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in construction project engineering or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of construction management processes, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Proficiency with construction software and project management tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of state and federal construction regulations is preferred.
