Shaw Construction is a family-owned design/build commercial general contractor based in Eden Prairie, MN. We have projects across the region in a variety of industries. Key Ingredients
- A minimum of two years of experience working as a Construction Project Manager/Estimator
- A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business.

- Competence in Word, Excel, MS Project, & Bluebeam; AutoCAD and Procore or similar a plus
- Organized self-starter with strong initiative and work ethic

Expectations
Project Development
- Assist in business development and client presentations.
- Assemble costs, prepare proposals, and other tasks associated with project development.
- Act as a customer liaison to coordinate with subcontractors, municipality and governing authorities, and others.
Total Project Management
- Manage financial aspects of the project, including cost dissection, margin projections, and subcontract bids, awards, and invoices.
- Communication with the owner, including responding to change order requests, invoicing, and coordinating finish selections.
- Procure permits and otherwise coordinate with municipalities.
- Manage design disciplines, project schedule, and shop drawing review and approval.
- Provide a strong close-out process, including punch list completion, and start to turn over occupancy.
Special Projects as Assigned
- Create an estimating “database” of historical costs.
- Modify/update General Design Build specifications.
- Update our Safety Manual as needed.
- Other projects based on need and interest.
