Contract: 12 months contract with possible extension
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Manager, R&D Outsourcing to lead our clinical outsourcing efforts. This role will involve managing the vendor selection, contracting, and performance monitoring processes for global Phase 1b-Phase 3 clinical trials, particularly in Cell Therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Management:
Develop and implement global vendor strategies for clinical development programs.
Oversee the entire lifecycle of vendor management, including RFI, RFP, vendor selection, and performance monitoring.
Contract Negotiation:
Lead complex contract negotiations to maximize value and ensure compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Compliance, Legal, Regulatory) to manage risks.
Strategic Planning:
Partner with internal stakeholders to develop study specifications and sourcing strategies.
Utilize benchmarking and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Problem Solving:
- Identify and resolve vendor performance and project management issues.
- Develop sustainable solutions for operational challenges.
- Collaboration and Influence:
- Engage with clinical operations leadership to align on sourcing strategies and vendor management.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, providing updates on vendor performance and project status.
- Train internal stakeholders on contract management and budgeting.
Qualifications:
- BA or MS in a relevant discipline; MBA or JD preferred.
- Extensive experience in sourcing and contracting within clinical research.
- Strong understanding of regulatory issues and clinical operations.
- Proven leadership skills in fast-paced environments.
- Financial acumen to analyse complex budgets and cost drivers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
