The Director of Procurement Governance & ESG will lead the development and implementation of best-in-class procurement governance strategies, ensuring that procurement processes across the organization adhere to regulatory and compliance standards. This role will focus on developing frameworks, policies, and guidelines that drive effective risk management, supplier performance, and operational efficiency. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent procurement practices, improve process transparency, and maintain high ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Governance Framework Development:
- Establish and maintain comprehensive procurement governance frameworks, including policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with global and regional standards.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Monitor procurement activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and corporate policies. Develop risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain and procurement-related risks.
Supplier Management and Performance:
- Oversee supplier governance, ensuring that supplier selection, onboarding, and performance management adhere to organizational standards. Implement metrics and KPIs to monitor and evaluate supplier performance.
Process Optimization:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs, while ensuring alignment with governance policies.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with business units, legal, finance, and compliance teams to ensure procurement activities align with overall business strategies and regulatory requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact for procurement audits and assessments.
Training and Development:
- Lead training programs on procurement governance and compliance for procurement teams and key stakeholders across the organization.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track procurement compliance, risk, and supplier performance. Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or governance roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, risk management, and compliance in a global organization.
- Demonstrated ability to develop governance frameworks and implement best practices.
- Experience with procurement technology and tools, such as Coupa, SAP Ariba, or other sourcing platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of building cross-functional relationships.
