Required Skills & Experience
Required Qualifications: • Professional Licensure: Must be a licensed surveyor in any state, with assistance provided for NC licensure if needed. • Surveying Experience: 5+ years of experience in land surveying, preferably in boundary, topographic, and ALTA/NSPS survey environments. • Technical Expertise: Proficiency with robotic total stations, electronic data collectors, AutoCAD, Carlson, GIS mapping, and MS Office Suite. • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues related to surveying and mapping projects. • Leadership and Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to supervise field teams and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.

Job Overview: Joyner Keeny is seeking an experienced and licensed Assistant Project Manager in Geomatic Engineering or Surveying to join our dynamic team. This role requires a dedicated professional with strong technical skills in surveying and project management to coordinate and supervise multiple projects. The successful candidate will primarily work in an office setting but will maintain a close connection with field crews, ensuring project goals are met efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities: • Project Coordination: Oversee and ensure the successful completion of multiple surveying and mapping projects, from inception to completion. • Field Crew Management: Manage and organize field crews, including scheduling, training, and coordinating travel needs, while providing ongoing support to resolve issues and meet project objectives. • Project Management: Track and manage the progress of work across various project phases to ensure timeliness and quality standards. • Data Processing: Process raw field data to generate topographic contours, staking base files, road alignments, and foundation surveys. • Technical Supervision: Provide guidance on solving fieldwork challenges and supervise technicians and field crews on surveying projects. • Communication and Collaboration: Attend required meetings and maintain effective communication with project teams and stakeholders.
