Responsibilities:
The Medical Social Worker (MSW) is a master's degree professional who provides direct and indirect care services to patients in their home environment or alternative settings, according to the organization's policies and procedures. The medical social worker strives to improve or maintain the social, emotional, functional and physical health status of the patient. We encourage enhancing the coping skills of the caregiver system. The social worker will utilize all of the resources available in the agency and community to accomplish the plan of care goals.
Looking for an experienced and licensed MSW to join our growing Hospice team in Kansas.
MSW QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have a Master's degree in social work from an accredited school by the Council on Social Work Education, required.
- Have current, valid Kansas and Missouri State Social Worker license.
- Must have active hospice experience within the past 3 years.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a social worker, preferred.
- Possess a valid driver’s License, reliable transportation, and auto Insurance.
- Have or obtain a current CPR certification.
