Job Description:
A nationally recognized leader in construction management, engineering, architecture, planning, and environmental services, is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer in North Carolina.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in planning, designing, and constructing wastewater systems, focusing on asset management, sanitary and storm water pumping systems, combined sewer overflow systems, and general wastewater processes.
Responsibilities:
- Managing engineering activities in planning, study, design, construction, modification, and maintenance of wastewater transmission and treatment facilities.
- Developing and preparing facility reports and designs for major wastewater transmission, treatment, and solids processing.
- Directing the development of calculations and design drawings.
- Functioning as a project team leader, supervising the work of engineers and technicians.
- Developing scopes of work for engineering consultant services, managing consultant performance.
- Administering construction and post-construction of major wastewater facilities.
- Analyzing data for capacity and financial planning, managing updates to Capital Expenditure Schedule.
- Establishing and monitoring budgets and schedules for projects.
- Performing other engineering, technical, or administrative duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, civil, chemical, electrical, environmental) or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in relevant field.
- Project management training preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent technical, mathematical, and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- CQM, CCM, and/or ENV SP Certification is a plus.
