We currently have an opening for a Cloud Engineer
The position is designated Statutory Exempt and is exempt from the State Human Resources Act
The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the cloud network infrastructure including the deployment and configuration of cloud-based network solutions to ensure high performance, reliability, and security. Positions in the role consult with enterprise architects and automation teams to drive cloud configuration.
Duties include, but are not limited, to:
- Design and implement networking and security controls while ensuring compliance
- Assess cloud vulnerabilities, identify cloud security threats, identify risks, and perform audits.
- Oversee the testing of data contingencies and disaster recovery planning.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

To qualify for this position, applicants must document on the application that they possess ALL of the following:
- 5 years of progressive experience in network and security engineering
- Demonstrated experience diagnosing and/or resolving complex network problems in an enterprise environment
- Demonstrated experience configuring and/or optimizing functionality of next-generation firewall solutions (such as those offered by Palo Alto Networks)
- Demonstrated experience with core network services such as (DNS, DHCP, and IPAM technologies)
Management Preferences
- 2 years of Cloud networking experience with at least one of the "big three" Public Cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including hybrid cloud and/or cross-cloud/multi-cloud connectivity
- Demonstrated experience with hybrid Cloud connectivity options such as Site-to-Site IPsec VPN technologies
- Demonstrated knowledge of cloud infrastructure components such as compute, storage, load balancing, network management, and monitoring (network and security)
- Current/active Networking-specific certification (e.g., CCNA, PCNSA/E, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, or Azure Network Engineer Associate)
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution, and five years of IT experience including three years of progressive experience in cloud-related systems infrastructure design, implementation, and management;
Or
Associate degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and six years of IT experience including four years of progressive experience in cloud-related systems infrastructure design, implementation, and management;
or
an equivalent combination of education and experience.
