We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Supervisor to join our team and oversee our manufacturing facility’s EHS programs.
Position Overview: The Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies related to environmental protection, health, and safety. This role involves developing and implementing EHS programs, conducting training, and leading initiatives to promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage EHS policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Oversee incident investigations, including root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate and deliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels.
- Monitor and report on key EHS performance metrics and maintain records for regulatory reporting.
- Collaborate with management to integrate EHS considerations into operational processes and decisions.
- Lead efforts to enhance environmental sustainability practices, including waste reduction and resource conservation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure continuous improvement of EHS practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in EHS management within a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve safety and environmental issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees, management, and regulatory agencies.
- Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) are preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills.
