Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s in Pavement Engineering is a plus)
- 3-5 years of experience in pavement engineering
- Pavement evaluation and design experience
- Registered EIT in the state of Texas
- Familiarity with AutoCAD for design development
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Traffic Control Plans is a plus
- Previous experience with TxDOT or City of Austin projects
Compensation:
$80,000 to $90,000 per year annual salary.
Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Staff Pavement Engineer with an EIT certification to support the project manager and senior staff. The role involves preparing detailed calculations, performing engineering analyses, and completing field assignments to ensure client satisfaction. The successful candidate will contribute to PS&E (Plans, Specifications, and Estimates) development, perform pavement evaluations, and assist with various engineering tasks. Key Responsibilities: · Develop PS&E documents using AutoCAD · Conduct engineering analyses related to pavement design and evaluation · Support project documentation and deliverables · Maintain GIS databases and perform data entry tasks · Collect field data for pavement evaluations and other assignments · Prepare graphics and other technical support for reports and correspondence · Assist in drafting, reviewing, and editing technical reports and memos · Attend client meetings and support professional staff as needed · Perform data analysis and prepare graphical support for reports
