Job Overview:
As the Land Development Engineering Project Manager, you will lead and oversee civil engineering design and planning projects focused on land and site development. You will manage project teams, communicate with clients and stakeholders, and ensure the successful execution of land development projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of land development projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams, including civil engineers, designers, and consultants.
- Coordinate with public agencies, contractors, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects meet regulatory and client requirements.
- Develop project budgets, schedules, and deliverables, and track progress to ensure deadlines are met.
- Review engineering plans, specifications, and reports for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
- Foster and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for projects.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and resolve issues.
- Prepare and deliver project proposals, reports, and presentations for clients and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal land use regulations and permitting processes.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in the Austin, TX region or similar markets.
- Familiarity with stormwater management, utility design, and roadway design.
- LEED accreditation or experience with sustainable development practices.
