The Armored Group is seeking a full-time, on-site individual that will be responsible for all aspects of the vehicle electrical/electronic systems and components. This will include vehicle design/ integration for electrical items in CAD as well as assist manufacturing with troubleshooting and testing.
Responsibilities
Understand complete vehicle electrical systems in order to design and troubleshoot
- Evaluate electrical products and systems by designing testing methods
- Test finished products and system capabilities
Understand OEM (Ford, GM, etc) CAN bus systems
Have experience programming vehicle code parameter via OBD2 equipment
Ability to use Solidworks for CAD modelling of vehicle electrical system
Understand and design wiring harnesses for vehicles
Experience with MIL-SPEC electrical requirements and connectors
Ability to design complete electrical vehicle architecture system to properly review power requirements for vehicle loads, alternator sizing, wiring sizing, etc
Experience with power management systems that contain batteries, alternators, power converter/invertor systems, and related accessories
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Strong problem solving, technical, math and science skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience with identified responsibilities
