Job Purpose
Account Director for Drilling Contractors will lead development of strategic account plans, identify growth opportunities, build and maintain a long-term relationship with Drilling Contractors and maximize sales opportunities within them by connecting key stakeholders and aligning the enterprise with account plans. Account Director will drive and support short term sales growth while developing long term strategic alignment and opportunities which are aligned with global, regional and local sales and marketing strategies as well as product line strategies.

QUALITY

OPERATIONS
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve sales targets, foster account growth, and identify new business opportunities predominantly MPD and RedZone management solutions.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts to maximize revenue generation and after sales support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with drilling contractors decision making authority, serving as their primary point of contact for all business-related matters.
- Understand and align clients decision making authority and manage executive engagement
- Develop business interaction plan for strategic provision, establishing long-term relationships and positioning WFRD’s solution-selling approach and explore potential alliances for Decommissioning projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales, marketing, and customer support, to ensure seamless delivery of products/services and exceptional customer experience.
- Maintain schedule of drilling contractors plans for rig refurbishment or new builds and develop early engagement plans.
- Maintain detail list of rigs, their integration levels and contracts duration with specific end users.
- Accountable for reviewing contract performance and that all relevant matters are brought before management.
- Responsible for the Account Plan in SFDC, communicating the plan to all stakeholders, planning resources & activities to achieve the Plan’s annual performance.
COMMUNICATION
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients to assess their needs, address concerns, and provide solutions that meet their objectives.
- Learn and understand customer’s needs and tailors service offering to meet or exceed their requirements.
- Accountable for developing the Client Engagement Plan to enhance the profitability of the company through expanding the corporate provision of products and services to new and existing customers.
- Delivers presentations to clients and participates in relevant industry forums/ marketing events.
- Lead and manage client commercial arrangements to ensure best value and long term viability.
- Manages clients expectations as well as problem job communication and agreement
- Facilitates close of contract with key stakeholders and client.
- Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external.
FINANCIAL
- Generates revenue targets through the account plans & hold quarterly reviews with line management and stakeholders.
- Accountable for action to identify and address revenue gaps for the year if any to ensure target achievement.
- Ensure all Commercial processes are applied through TPMS to maximize efficiency of pricing & tendering.
- All employees have an accountability to the organisation to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses.
- Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure.

Experience & Education
REQUIRED
- 15 years industry experience including a minimum of 5 years in industry sales.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
REQUIRED
- Demonstrate technical expertise and understanding of Ability to demonstrate commercial astute and have a good understanding of tenders, contracts, negotiations, margin / profitability achievement as well as the requirements for high quality customer service.
- Strong sales and account management skills, with a proven track record of successfully managing key accounts and achieving revenue targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, understand their needs, and build long-term relationships.
- Sufficient business acumen to enable opportunity evaluation and effective prioritization.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite to manage client information, track activities, and produce reports.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Travel Requirement:
This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to: 25-50%
