Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security and Information Assurance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing robust cyber security measures, ensuring data security for our products and systems, and maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations. Experience with Department of Defense Information Assurance (IA) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cyber Security Implementation: Analyze system architecture and perform regular risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify security risks. Design and implement security measures to protect systems from cyber threats.
- Incident Response: Design, develop, test, and deploy security response measures in a timely manner in response to security updates or incidents. Experience with threat and vulnerability analysis is a plus.
- Compliance: Ensure systems comply with industry regulations, including Defense IA, STIGs, and ISO 27001. Serve as the main point of contact for cyber security and information assurance matters.
- Security Policies: Develop, document, and train users on security policies and procedures, in collaboration with the customer’s cyber security team, while aligning with their security policies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cyber security and information assurance. Exposure to US Department of Defense IA and STIGs is a plus.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in security tools and technologies like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM. Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus and Symantec Endpoint Protection.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
