About the Job-
Join our Houston team as an Assistant Project Manager! You'll play a pivotal role overseeing and directing every phase of construction projects. Design and implement project plans, liaise with contractors and designers on cost, staffing, and scheduling, and ensure adherence to contract specifications. Experience in K-12 construction and/ or Hard Bid proposal methods preferred. What You Will Do-
- Manage, plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities to meet deadlines.
- Assist in preparing and submitting proposal estimates, budget reports, and progress updates.
- Inspect projects to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
- Conduct on-site job walks and oversee construction activities.
- Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
- Investigate incidents and ensure adherence to construction procedures.
- Assist in contract preparation and negotiations with stakeholders.
- Develop and implement quality control and environmental protection programs.
- Interpret plans and contract terms for stakeholders.
- Perform pre-building assessments and obtain necessary permits.
- Supervise construction personnel and resolve operational issues.
- Communicate with stakeholders to address work procedures and concerns.
- Perform other necessary duties as assigned.
What You Bring To The Table-
- High School diploma or general education degree required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or equivalent field preferred.
- Experience in CSP and/or JOC commercial construction projects.
- Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
- Proficient computer skills
