We are seeking a skilled Xactimate estimator / supplement guru to join our team. If

roofs, climbing ladders, carrying over 50 lbs.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Prepare and lead estimates and supplements from conceptual to detailed
- Prepare estimates with limited information by leveraging experience or subject
matter experts to fill technical gaps in information
- Review and direct others on estimates in various business lines
- Lead major estimate efforts, working with BD and proposal teams to produce
estimates as needed for proposals including leading multiple disciplines,
obtaining subcontractor and vendor quotes, performing constructability reviews
and providing risk assessments
- Work on estimating tool development including development of estimating
databases, assemblies and models
Essential Skills:
- Creating estimates and supplements to submit for insurance purposes from
approved services completed on covered losses. Must be familiar with Xactimate
and MS Office apps, as well as billing/invoicing software.
- Excellent organizational and decision-making skills.
- Basic math and geometry skills are required for this role.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The ability to speak with customers and insurance adjusters about the job and
ensure satisfaction.
- Familiarity with Xactimate, Excel, and Microsoft Office is required.
- Proficiency in roofing insurance claims and supplements.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate project requirements.
- Knowledge of JobNimbus, Acculynx, or similar CRM
- Ability to sell and negotiate.
- Project management skills to oversee many files simultaneously.
Essential Functions:
- Reviews and evaluates requests for estimates and supplements.
- Coordinates with other sales representatives to form a job schedule where
inquiries can be completed in a timely manner.
- The ability to understand and interpret drawings and plans to meet necessary
customer expectations on projects. Basic shop math and geometry is required in
order to calculate necessary materials needed for the job.
- Obtains pricing for materials and create purchase orders for job materials.
- Ensures profitability by factoring in material, labor, equipment, and other
overhead costs incurred during the fabrication process.
- The ability to set up new vendors and customers within QuickBooks.
- Attends departmental meetings as required.
- Scan necessary documents and plans into CRM
- Review and understand the bid documents published by the company or client.
- Consult with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate
estimates and resolve issues.
Basic Qualifications:
- 1-5 years in Construction industry, preferably a current or previous Licensed P&C
Adjuster
- 1-5 years in Estimating & Supplementing with detailed bottoms-up estimating
experience
- Experience with Xactimate estimates
- Experience with Contracts, Subcontracts, Scheduling, Supplements, Change
Orders
- Outstanding communication skills
- Good presentation skills
- Proficient with Excel
- Ability to participate and contribute as part of senior leadership reviews
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing conflicting priorities
- Ability to collaboratively work with numerous stakeholders in sometimes high
pressure situations
- Flexibility to lead estimates in numerous business areas including work where
they are not a subject matter expert and have to work with other stakeholders to
obtain detailed information required to build a complete detailed estimate

Experience:
