About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Migration Specialist to join our team and play a pivotal role in the migration of critical financial applications to the AWS cloud environment. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to a significant modernization initiative within the Federal Reserve.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Coordinate and manage the migration of complex financial applications from on-premise environments to AWS cloud.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrate deep understanding of IBM technologies (MQ, Secure Transport, Connect) and their integration with AWS cloud services.
- Infrastructure Transition: Oversee the transition of on-premise UNIX/Solaris environments to AWS.
- Data Migration: Plan and execute the migration of large-scale transactional data sets to the cloud, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with internal IT teams (TSD) and external partners, including the U.S. Treasury, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical challenges related to cloud migration, providing innovative solutions and recommendations.
- Security and Compliance: Adhere to strict security and compliance standards, ensuring the protection of sensitive financial data.
Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Proven expertise in IBM technologies (MQ, Secure Transport, Connect), AWS cloud services, and on-premise infrastructure.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring project progress.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Communication: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
