Summary
The Operations Project Engineer will manage all aspects of complex projects from inception to conclusion supporting multiple manufacturing operations (Missouri, Arkansas, North Carolina, South Carolina). Responsibilities include but are not limited to: facilitates and troubleshoots the problems associated with projects, performing a variety of highly skilled duties such as assembling, coordinating, and managing multidisciplinary technical reviews, responds to inquiries about projects, coordinates schedules of project team members, assists in developing plans, goals, objectives, and policies.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor assigned engineering projects.
- Perform quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and report on projects’ status.
- Review engineering tasks and initiate corrective actions.
- Develop specifications for equipment.
- Establish field test methods and methods for monitoring the quality of those tests.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards and specifications.
- Provide technical and management advice and assistance to management.
- Facilitates and troubleshoots problems associated with developing complex systems or with coordinating and development of projects, timelines, and task lists.
- Responds to inquiries about projects.
- Coordinates schedules of project team members, stakeholders, and other interested parties including contracted services.
- Assists in developing departmental plans, goals, objective, policies and procedures.
- Core competencies in PLC controls, electrical, and SCADA mapping.
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Four or more years’ field and project planning experience.
- Six years’ manufacturing experience
- Thorough knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
