As a Test Support Technician, you will play a key role in supporting vehicle verification programs by assisting with test and analysis activities. This includes configuring and operating data acquisition systems for full vehicle tests, performing test setups, and maintaining detailed logs of testing procedures and results.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assist with test setup and configuration for full vehicle tests, including operating data acquisition systems.
- Support troubleshooting efforts and provide technical assistance during tests.
- Provide on-site field support for testing at customer locations.
- Ensure test facilities are properly maintained and comply with safety standards.
- Perform standardized testing protocols under supervision.
- Maintain detailed records of daily test activities and results.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma with 1-3 years of related experience.
- Strong mechanical skills with knowledge of assembly processes for construction equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Preferred but not required: CDL Class A or B License.
- CCO Certification or ability to obtain within 9 months of hire.
- Experience with machine tools and fabrication is a plus.
- Ability to learn and operate the Verification Management System (VMS).
- Experience operating mobile and stationary cranes, including Truck-Mounted, Rough Terrain, Carry Deck, and Crawler Cranes.
- Familiarity with ASAE Crane & Rigging symbols/signals.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Proficient with basic measurement tools such as tape measures, pressure gauges, and multimeters.
- Experience with strain gauge installation.
- Competence in basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
