The Industrial / Process Engineer is a key member of the manufacturing team. The Engineer is responsible for developing, testing and implementing efficient production processes, reducing costs while maintaining high standards of operations.
What You Will Do At Acme:
- Designs and evaluates production processes that maximize efficiency, yield, and reduce waste.
- Designs and evaluates production standards, layout of facilities, and personnel requirements to ensure optimal utilization of resources.
- Leads and supports continuous improvement efforts utilizing new technologies and equipment.
- Leads the optimization of production equipment to ensure maximum output, while ensuring that product quality parameters are met.
- Supports quality control and improvement efforts to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability and minimize cost.
- Leads efforts to improve efficiency of current products and processes, applying lean manufacturing principles and standard of work
- Applies statistical methods and performs calculations to determine best manufacturing processes, staff requirements and production standards. Prepares reports as needed.
- Collaborates with Process Control platform (MES and ERP) for integration and data collection
- Supports on the integration of new products and its processes into production by collaborating with R&D, Quality, and Production.
- Other related duties as assigned.
About You
Your Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- 3-5 years of experience as process or industrial engineer.
- Lean or Six Sigma experience, preferred.
- Experience with developing and implementing successful solutions for complex manufacturing processes.
Your Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and within teams on with minimal supervision.
- Experience in Food Manufacturing.
- Project and process management.
- Process design and development.
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCad.
- Completion of training programs as assigned and/or required.
Physical Requirements:
- Work environment may include sitting at a desk for extended periods or prolonged periods of standing.
- Occasional lifting and moving of boxes or materials may be required.
- Must be comfortable with exposure to uneven ground and floor angles.
- Must be comfortable with stretching, bending, pulling, etc. from time to time.
- Some travel may be required for inventory-related activities or training sessions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
