This role demands a high level of organization, attention to detail, and a strong background in cloud and IT infrastructure technologies.
The Senior Program Manager will provide project management leadership and technical expertise while maintaining quality, budget, and deadlines. They will collaborate with all levels of management, including executive leadership, and coordinate project activities with the R3 team, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders. Effective communication and the ability to manage and deliver projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and maintain project plans that include objectives, milestones, tasks, timelines, risks, and resource management.
- Lead and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Ensure projects are delivered, meeting the objectives while being within scope, schedules, and budget.
- Manage changes to the project effectively to control the scope, budget, and schedules.
- Lead and manage project team members, assigning clear roles and responsibilities.
- Schedule and conduct project meetings.
- Monitor project progress to proactively manage issues, risks, and any blockers.
- Communicate project status updates regularly and effectively.
- Produce project artifacts such as meeting minutes, change orders, documentation, RAID logs, and closure documents.
- Utilize project management tools to aid in project delivery.
- Track and manage project hours for accuracy in reporting and billing.
- Review project contracts to ensure objectives and deliverables align with customer goals and expectations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven experience in successfully leading complex projects through all phases
- Exceptional skills in communication, presentation, and relationship management
- Highly organized team player, responsive, and skilled in critical thinking and collaboration
- Positive, solution-focused mindset
- Experience presenting to and working with executive leadership
- Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Gantts, and BrightWork
- Good understanding of cloud computing and IT infrastructure
- Good understanding of Microsoft technologies and cloud-based services, including Azure, Microsoft 365
- Solid working knowledge of networking, including LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, and TCP/IP
- Proficient in Windows servers and virtualization technologies
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience as an IT project manager or program manager
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related discipline
- Preferred certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), ITIL v3, Microsoft Azure, Office 365
