Corporate Paralegal - Transactional Risk Analyst
Angove Partners is partnering with a growing Transactional Risk insurance brokerage, seeking a corporate paralegal to join the team in a M&A capacity. This is an exciting opportunity for Corporate Paralegal's looking to gain exposure mergers & acquisitions outside of the private practice set-up. Transactional Risk is a fast growing line of business in the insurance space, and best described as a blend of finance, law and insurance, and a great opportunity for a corporate paralegal to utilise their experience in an entrepreneurial capacity.
Responsibilities include:
- Analysing M&A documents, including financial statements and purchase agreements
- Assisting with drafting insurance quotes, binders, and policies
- Directly supporting senior brokers on live M&A deals
- Managing a consistent pipeline of M&A deal flow by updating the team with M&A deal statistics, reviewing/executing NDAs, and utilizing the team’s IT/operating systems to ensure smooth administration of M&A deals
- Engaging and communicating with insurance underwriters, lawyers, and investment managers.
- Attending industry events, networking opportunities and team outings
About you:
we are looking for individuals with the following traits:
- 1+ yrs as a corporate paralegal, preferably within private practice
- Team-orientated mindset
- Strong writing skills
- Have the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
