Insight Global is looking for an IT Asset Management Consultant responsible for managing IT assets, both software and hardware, within a federal agency. You will be tasked with ensuring software licenses and hardware resources are tracked, optimized, and compliant with federal policies. You will use data tools like Power BI or Tableau to analyze and report on these assets. The job involves writing client-facing documents, managing contracts, and helping to implement best practices for asset management.
Additionally, the Asset Manager helps create and maintain workflows, dashboards, and automation tools for IT management. You will need to communicate well with both clients and senior leadership, handling issues that arise to keep projects on track. Experience in federal IT regulations, strong writing skills, and certifications like PMP or Agile Scrum Master are crucial. Advanced Excel and software integration are nice-to-haves.
Must Haves:
- TSA Public Trust or Active DHS Suitability + bachelor’s degree
- 6+ YOE in IT Asset Management in a federal sector, ideally TSA
- Software licensing management
- Experience with data modeling and visualization tools i.e., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik
- Familiarity with federal acquisition policy requirements, ITAR processes and procedures
- Excellent writing capabilities and experience writing client facing documents such as analysis reports, SOPS, trainings etc.
- One of the following certifications: PMP, Agile Scrum Master, SAFe, IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Asset Management (ITAM)
Pluses:
- Advanced MS Excel skills including VBA programming.
- Support and document master integration management plans, critical dependency milestone trackers, and dashboards.
Day to Day:
- Provide support in the areas of both Software licensing and Hardware Asset Management.
- Support, develop, and update best practices and analytics to support the analysis of hardware and software asset resources, portfolios, data, license compliance and optimization, contract management, risk mitigation, stakeholder communication, and continuous improvement.
- Support the implementation of an integrated framework for support on software and hardware asset management, using dashboards, workflow, and processes. Tracking systems and methodologies and automation mechanisms.
- Support the strategy, oversight, development, and use of IT automation supported by legacy and emerging tools and platforms for all aspects IT asset and portfolio management.
- Support preparation and execution of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and providing coordination, training, and support on change management.
- The candidate must be a strong written and oral communicator and be comfortable interacting with clients and serving as confidant of senior consulting leadership.
- Support the client management and stakeholders to plan for and address risks and issues as they occur, to ensure that the project remains on schedule and within budget.
