Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team for projects located in Hanover, NH. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in overseeing large-scale construction projects, specifically in academic and institutional settings. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical skills, leadership abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple projects efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee 6 diverse projects including campus expansion, renovations, and HVAC installations.
- Manage projects up to $25 million (or larger), ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Lead and collaborate with teams of all sizes, including mentoring junior staff.
- Effectively communicate with owners' representatives, architects, consultants, and key stakeholders.
- Plan, forecast, and manage detailed project schedules using industry-standard software.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 8+ years of experience managing construction projects independently.
- Project Types: Experience in academic/institutional projects preferred; secondary experience in commercial and interior renovations is highly desirable.
- Technical Expertise: Strong background in fast-track/phased construction, Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection, Plumbing, and HVAC Controls.
- Software Proficiency:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Primavera P6 Scheduling
- Procore
- Autodesk AutoCAD and REVIT (big plus but not required)
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to mentor and develop younger team members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of project stakeholders.
