Spur Design is looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will play a key part in streamlining project workflows, coordinating communications, and managing essential documentation. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up project teams in Newforma and manage documentation.
- Upload project schedules and Gantt charts in Unanet.
- Organize the Spur Design team, consultants, and contacts in Unanet.
- Create activities in Unanet, assigning dates and team members as needed.
- Attend client coordination and review calls, taking meeting minutes as requested.
- Document client review comments in the Review Comment Spreadsheet.
- Create and manage QAQC sessions in Bluebeam, including specifications and distribution links.
- Email QAQC distribution team with relevant links and updates.
- Update Unanet with revised schedules and activity dates as required.
- Schedule all project travel for team members.
- Print and ship deliverable binders to the VA
- Answer phones and professionally greet visitors.
- Compile and complete expense reports by the 10th of each month.
- Manage employee birthdays and anniversaries to include cards and gift card distribution.
- Maintain office plants and general office tidiness.
- Manage front door procedures, securing outer doors and turning off lights at the end of the day.
- Perform general office duties, such as ordering drinks and snacks, keeping supplies stocked, and maintaining supply rooms.
- At all times be a good steward for Spur both inside and outside the office.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of experience in project administration, office administration, or a similar role, preferably in the design or architecture industry
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Unanet, Newforma, Bluebeam) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, with strong skills in document formatting and data management
- Experience with project scheduling and management tools, including the ability to create Gantt charts.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines consistently.
- Must be able to work in person at the Kansas City office.

- Retirement benefits include matching 401k contributions of 1-for-1 matching up to 3% and 1-for-2 matching up to 5%, with a maximum match of 4% for a 5% employee contribution. This plan is a “safe harbor” eligible plan and, subsequently, no vesting period is required past initial eligibility requirements.
- Spur Design also offers reimbursement of training and professional organization dues or fees with prior approval by ownership.
