This is an awesome opportunity where this position will provide support to a Uranium Processing Facility (UPF). Please note, this project works on various schedules with differing start times and may require employees to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and/or night shift pending project needs.

In this role, you will apply your expertise in project field engineering, focusing on work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification, safety and quality control, technical inspections and testing, as well as subcontractor coordination. Your insights and recommendations will ensure that field engineering tasks are completed safely, meet quality standards, and align with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work Planning & Packaging: Prepare construction drawings and sketches, oversee the creation of construction schedules, and design temporary construction facilities. Ensure that "as built" drawings and job plans are accurately prepared.
- Material Management: Initiate field purchase requisitions and perform quantity takeoffs for field-purchased materials and equipment.
- Quantity Verification: Validate quantities using tracking systems or databases as needed.
- Safety & Quality Control: Implement and enforce a zero-accident safety philosophy, ensuring that tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated correctly.
- Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field.
- System Turnover Coordinator: For direct hire, develop a strong understanding of system scoping and necessary drawings for package development.
- Subcontract Coordination: Review and approve inspection test plans and manage subcontractor submittals.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Education: Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
- Must hold a current certification as a National Electric Code Inspector and possess a strong understanding of current design codes and standards, such as NFPA 70-2014.
- ICC E2 or IAEI General Code Inspector current certification required.
- Certification must be ICC "Commercial" or IAEI "General." A copy of the certification must be provided.
- Experience with DOE, DOD, and/or commercial nuclear construction projects is essential.
- Must be a self-motivated individual who requires minimal supervision and can work effectively in a team setting.
- A solid understanding of environmental compliance standards, particularly those relevant to NNSA/DOE projects, is necessary.
- Recent experience working as an Electrical Field Engineer.
- Experience reviewing multi-disciplinary field drawings and plans, including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
