(Nasdaq: FPAY) is a financial and technology company that provides brand name durable goods to consumers on a lease-to-own (LTO) basis through its ecommerce marketplace (www.FlexShopper.com) and LTO payment method. FlexShopper also provides LTO technology platforms to retailers and e-tailers to enter into transactions with consumers who want to obtain durable goods, but do not have the available cash or credit.
The selected candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our lease-to-own and lending operations adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This position involves monitoring and evaluating compliance issues, providing guidance and support to operational teams, and assisting in the development and implementation of compliance programs.
Third Party Risk Vendor Management and Contract Management:
- Facilitate the on-boarding, of-boarding and renewal of vendor relationships
- Able to appropriately identify vendor issues and raise them to management by paying close attention to detail.
- Ensures compliant and timely submission of all relevant applications
- Reviews and assesses implications of current and proposed regulations, presents analysis to leaders, and proposes
- Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local regulations that impact the company's operations.
- Ensure the company's practices and procedures comply with regulatory requirements.
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes and assess their impact on company operations.
Compliance Audits and Reviews:
- Conduct internal audits and reviews to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare reports on audit findings and recommend corrective actions.:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance activities.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory bodies as required.
- Assist in the preparation of reports for senior management and the board of directors.
- Investigations and Issue Resolution:
- Investigate compliance-related complaints and issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Project management, Vendor due diligence or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a compliance role within the financial services industry preferred, BSA/AML.
- Vendor due diligence experience a plus
- Work closely with legal, risk management, and operational teams to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance.
- Knowledge of NMLS licensing
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance best practices.
- Ability to communicate complex regulatory issues clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Shall be a Notary Public, or open to become a Notary Public with assistance of the company
