Job Title: VP Quality Risk Management

Job Summary:
As the VP of Quality & Risk Management, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Quality Department, including Infection Control, Joint Commission and CMS compliance, Core Measure Abstraction, and Medical Staff peer review. You will ensure that all facility-wide performance improvement initiatives align with strategic goals to support high-quality, cost-effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of short- and long-term programs to meet facility objectives.
- Oversee the Quality Department and Medical Staff Office, ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Direct and manage infection control, patient safety, risk management, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership on strategic planning and quality initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation requirements.
- Prepare for regulatory surveys and ensure survey readiness.
- Participate in various committees, task forces, and executive-level discussions to drive facility-wide improvements.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, patient safety, and high standards of care.
What You Will Need:
- 3-5+ years of recent acute care quality leadership experience.
- Director-level experience in overseeing quality leaders.
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field (RN preferred but not required); Master's degree preferred.
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification required (with flexibility to obtain within a grace period if not currently certified).
