We are actively seeking a dedicated General Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity near Sandyville, WV. Responsibilities:
- Primary Duties:
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments.
- The exams are primarily interview-based, with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- No prescribing or treatment is involved.
- Utilize a goniometer for assessments.
- Evaluate and diagnose conditions related to musculoskeletal, diabetes, cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological health.
- Reporting:
- Complete standardized Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and submit them within 48 hours of exam completion.
- No narrative report is required; the focus is on completing standardized forms.
- Record review is typically required, and follow-up administrative work may include addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics.

Candidate Requirements:
- Licensure:
- Must hold a current state medical license in West Virginia.
- Certifications:
- Experience in musculoskeletal, diabetes, cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological conditions.
- Proficiency in METs testing and the use of a goniometer is required.
- Experience:
- Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
- Familiarity with compensation and pension evaluations is a plus.
