Insight Global is seeking a motivated engineer to join an infrastructure team as a production-focused contributor on project-based work. The ideal candidate is eager to grow both personally and professionally, taking ownership of portions of projects, demonstrating resourcefulness, and actively incorporating feedback. Day-to-day work will be 95% design within Civil3D, with the number of focused projects varying based on size, ranging from one to more than ten, and involving federal, public, and private clientele. Attention to detail and the ability to shift tasks as needed are crucial due to the variety in design work. This hybrid role requires onsite presence on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The engineer will work in stand-alone and multi-discipline design teams, supervised by senior engineers and project managers, performing various civil engineering tasks on projects of small to medium scope, ensuring compliance with zoning ordinances, standards, and specifications. Projects may include site design for buildings or subdivisions, infrastructure projects, and business development activities such as responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). The role involves collaborating with and taking direction from Senior Engineers, Project Managers, and Design Managers, as well as assisting with document preparation and managing tasks related to the bidding process.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* An ABET-accredited engineering degree in one of the following disciplines:
· Civil Engineering
· Civil and Environmental Engineering
· Civil, Environmental and Infrastructure Engineering
· Civil Engineering Technology
* 1-4 years of experience in a professional engineering environment
* 1-4 years in site design experience (grading and layout, sediment control, land development)
* CAD / Civil 3D design experience
* Attained Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or plan to take Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Knowledge of stormwater / utilities / water waste
* Experience in the Federal Sector and/or UFC's
* Possesses EIT Certification
