This position is for our studio Slate, Colorado’s premier commercial furnishing contractor.
Job Summary
Responsible for creating and maintaining schedules for projects, employees, and resources to ensure efficient and timely operations. They coordinate with various departments to gather information on availability and requirements, update schedules as needed, and communicate changes to relevant parties. The role involves monitoring progress, resolving scheduling conflicts, and optimizing the use of resources. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential for ensuring that schedules are accurate, and operations run smoothly.
Essential Functions
- Schedule furniture deliveries, installations, and pickups according to customer preferences and availability.
- Works with others to determine appropriate amount of manpower required as well as the duration of the job.
- Coordinate with sales representatives to gather necessary information about customer orders and delivery requirements.
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery dates, times, and any special instructions.
- Collaborate with logistics team to optimize delivery routes and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Monitor delivery progress and address any delays or issues that arise during the scheduling process.
- Maintain accurate records of scheduled deliveries, installations, and pickups in our database system.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns related to delivery schedules.
- Handles all scheduling and related communications between clients, warehouse, priority services, installers, and subcontractors.
- Schedules and confirms COI submission to building and any other requirements.
- Coordinates with cross functional teams and reviews install packets to make sure all necessary info is included.
- Processes Work Orders to allow for timely invoicing.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure that furniture products are prepared and ready for delivery on time.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed, including tracking stock levels and product availability.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, can effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
- Proficiency in using scheduling software and other relevant computer applications.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of scheduling and record-keeping.
- Ability to work jointly as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules as needed.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of furniture products and industry trends is a plus.
- Previous experience in a scheduling or logistics role, preferably in the furniture industry.
