Job Description Immediate practice opportunity for a Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon. The Surgery Department staffsa 250-bed academic community hospital and designated ACS and State of Arizona Level I Adult/Level II Pediatric Trauma/Level I Burn Center. Teaching hospital with a fully accredited ACGME General Surgery Residency, with the Plastic Surgery Division accepting resident rotators from the Mayo Clinic. Faculty partner in the Creighton University Medical School educational alliance. Approved plans and funding to build a new hospital in accordance with a voter approved bond. The new facility is scheduled for completion in June 2024. The successful candidate must have completed Plastic Surgery residency training, and be board certified or eligible. Previous faculty experience in an academic environment is preferred. The candidate should be comfortable managing the full range of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery patients. Experience with Maxillofacial Trauma and Microvascular surgery are a plus, but not an absolute requirement. This position will assist in developing the clinical service line, providing inpatient and outpatient general plastic and reconstructive surgery services in the elective and emergent care settings, sharing call coverage, and teaching residents. The candidate should be comfortable with a team approach for patient management. The candidate will also have the opportunity to participate in collaborative research activities and most importantly developing and growing plastic surgery services.
