Our client, a consulting firm in Prince George's County, MD, is currently seeking a Legal Counsel to manage their commercial contracts. The incumbent will review, draft, and negotiate agreements for both the firm and its customers.
Responsibilities
- Function as the legal expert for all commercial agreements and other related legal matters
- Manage and monitor all state regulatory licensing and registration requirements
- Ensure the contractual terms and conditions protect the company and minimize risk
- Enhance firm profitability through contract negotiations
- Standardize internal contract templates
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in the state of Maryland
- Two years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal setting
- Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements
- Self starter
- Positive attitude
