We are looking for a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to join the Kaiser Aluminum team in Chandler Arizona at our Alexco Plant!
What you will work on:
- Responsible for ensuring equipment is running efficiently, accurately, and safely. This is crucial to getting quality product to the customer on time and protecting the workforce.
- Provide a safe work environment for employees by implementing, repairing, or modifying necessary equipment, building, or grounds.
- Provide necessary maintenance for the buildings, production equipment, and grounds.
- Provide preventative and scheduled maintenance when necessary.
- Provide necessary maintenance for the maintenance request forms.
- Check the status of maintenance performed.
- Document maintenance performed.
- Provide necessary inspections on equipment etc.
- Emergency Response Representative.
- Provide necessary training for Maintenance personnel.
- Provide necessary information during internal and external audits.
- Report on maintenance issues and maintenance down time equipment for weekly maintenance, safety, production, & engineering meetings.
- Check necessary maintenance supplies inventory and order supplies as necessary.
- Store and file plant prints and changes to plant prints.
- Maintain calibration records, surveys, annual surveys, and other various maintenance records.
- Arrange for the external calibration for the thermocouples.
- Comply with OSHA and EPA requirements.
- Prepare purchase requisitions utilizing Maximo software.
- Create, assign and implement standardized PMs for facility equipment.
- Populate/report key metrics and performance indicators for maintenance department.
- Perform job assessments as necessary.
- Process Owner for quality documents assigned.
- Perform other duties as needed.
What you will bring to the position:
- Have High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two (2) years in industrial maintenance planning.
- Able to work with others (both Production and Management).
- Have strong mechanical and or electrical ability.
- Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Able to work in a safe manner and evaluate equipment for safe operation.
- Have strong organizational skills.
- Have good diagnostic skills.
- Able to train Maintenance personnel.
- Able to assess Maintenance employees’ talents and assign proper personnel to specific maintenance tasks.
- Able to work with little to no supervision.
- Able to have a flexible schedule.
- Able to develop PMs and associated work instructions using vendor drawings, manuals, or knowledge.
