Duties:
- Perform diagnostic testing for physicians including OCTs, fundus photos, fluorescein angiography, ICG angiography, A/B/UBM scans (ultrasound), and visual fields
- Works collaboratively with clinical staff to reduce physician and patient wait times
- Record images and notes in electronic medical record system
- Perform venipunctures as needed for angiograms and Photodynamic Therapy
- Respond to physician and peer questions about images, offering technical insight
- Performs diagnostic testing or services in support of the physicians and faculty
Ability to perform:
- OCT (Anterior & Posterior Segment)
- Fundus Photography
- Ultra Wide Field Fundus Imaging
- Auto-Fluorescence Imaging
- Fluorescein Angiography (including venipuncture)
- Indocyane Green Angiography (including venipuncture)
- Ocular Biometry and Ultrasonography (Ascan- biometry, Diagnostic-A, Bscan
and UBM)
- Visual Fields: Humphrey VF
- As part of the diagnostic testing service, the individual will also assist with coverage for other areas in the clinic, including:
-Triage/ Work up technician
-Expeditor- rooming and preparing patients for the physician
-Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) prep (including venipuncture)
-Assist with in-office procedures, obtaining consent, set up and numbing
