We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to manage and support their diverse IT infrastructure. This role involves a mix of responsibilities, including troubleshooting and backend support, with a focus on both Apple and Windows products. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling a variety of tasks and will thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Heavy troubleshooting on PCs and Macs
- Managing Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Office 365
- Maintaining AWS and Windows-based servers
- Working with Cisco switches and Palo Alto firewalls
- Ensuring security with tools like Microsoft Authenticator
- Troubleshooting emails on end-user devices
- Configuring Active Directory and performing server patching
- Collaborating with the development team
- Engaging in all aspects of IT support, from hooking up consoles to testing wireless connections
What You Will Do in This Role:
- SharePoint Migration: Work on the migration of our on-site file server in San Clemente to the cloud, ensuring a seamless transition by the year-end deadline.
- Cloud-Based VPN Solution: Manage and maintain our cloud-based VPN solution using Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring secure access for users worldwide.
- Disaster Recovery Site: Assist in building a new disaster recovery site on the East Coast, focusing on data replication between AWS servers.
- User Education: Facilitate the potential transition from Slack to Teams, providing user education and support.
- Daily IT Operations: Perform daily IT operations, including troubleshooting, server maintenance, and network infrastructure management.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of Apple and Windows products
- Experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Office 365, AWS, and Windows-based servers
- Familiarity with Cisco switches, Palo Alto firewalls
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to think on your feet.
