Field Service Technicians/Maintenance Techs do very well in this position.
About This Opportunity
The Technical Support Technician (Electro-Mechanical) acts as a customer liaison and is responsible for promoting and maintaining positive customer relations. The position will resolve problems related to controls, programming, electrical, air replacement systems, environmental equipment, mechanical, installation, manufacturing, product specifics, and other equipment needs. The Customer Service Technician II will examine the root cause to provide solutions by processing quality and warranty claims and handling customer returns.
What You Will Do
- Resolve problems related to controls, programming, electrical, air replacement systems, environmental equipment, mechanical, installation, manufacturing, product specifics, and other equipment needs. May need to travel to the customer location to resolve.
- Thoroughly and efficiently gather and document product and customer information, access and fulfill customer needs, and educate the customer where applicable to prevent the need for future contacts. Document all interactions through contact tracking. Follow up with customer to ensure successful resolution and corrective action items are taken as needed.
- Evaluate, identify, and document opportunities to drive process improvements to positively impact the customer’s experience, and reduce quality and warranty costs.
- Utilize ERP system to track orders and issue necessary materials.
- On-call responsibility for customers as necessary
What You Have to Offer
- High school diploma or GED along with 2-3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing controls, VFDs, heat, air conditioning, and programming.
