We are looking for a candidate with a diverse skillset that directly supports and enhances the digital design development and color styling for our North American client base.
This position will assist and report to the North American Design Manager, who will oversee your training and daily activities. The ideal candidate will work well in collaborative settings (virtually and in person,) while also possessing excellent self-management skills, as often the other members of the small team will be traveling, and you will carry out projects independently. Because of this, strong communications skills and a confident work ethic are a must. This position is full time, in person, in our beautiful design center located in Manayunk, PA. Our headquarters are based just outside of Barcelona, Spain, and there is continuous communication with the team there as well. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus, but not a requirement, as English is internally our “primary” language.
There is also great potential to have some travel, both internationally and domestically within this position; therefore a current passport and vaccination proof are required. We also have training that will require approx. 2 weeks in Barcelona, Spain within your first year of employment.
The responsibilities of the design aspect of this position include but are not limited to the following:
· Custom digital Epson color work using Inedit (Photoshop plugin) and a commercial printer
· Commercial lamination operation and sample making (Must be able to lift 50lbs)
· Shared design support for the North American customer base
· Meticulous design, layout, coloring and construction via base separation (We will provide training)
· Proficient use of the Adobe suite (Photoshop Primarily)
· Sample ordering and management – (training will be provided)
· Providing consistent customer updates on shipments, as well as retaining an open and frequent dialogue with the design and sales managers on timelines, project status, and feedback.
The responsibilities of the administrative aspect of this position include but are not limited to the following:
· Ordering Office Supplies
· Keeping detailed inventory of all printing and lamination supplies
· Upkeep of all digital logs (excel) for projects and orders
· Organization of client samples
· Management of all shipments in and out
· Office upkeep such as trash, dusting, and sweeping; projects get messy!
Required Skills:
· Adobe Photoshop and Creative Suite
· Office 365 experience including PowerPoint and Excel – Miro is a +++
· Excellent self-management and organization
· Ability to work in solo environment for extended periods
· Strong written and verbal skills
· A passion for quality and perfected details
· Must be able to lift 50lbs.
· Must have a valid passport
· Some travel, both domestic and international, is required
· Can pass a color accuracy test for vision (will provide)
