We are seeking an experienced Nutraceutical Formulation Specialist with expertise in liquids, softgels, powders, capsules, and tablets. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and formulating innovative products, overseeing the entire product development process, and ensuring all products meet quality and regulatory standards. You will collaborate closely with R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Quality Assurance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Sales and, occasionally, with customers to understand their needs and showcase ingredient expertise.
- Serve as the technical expert for Sales and Production teams to drive growth within the nutraceuticals sector.
- Use technical knowledge and creative approaches to meet customer needs by leveraging the ingredient portfolio and winning business opportunities in the nutraceutical market.
- Participate in daily project meetings and perform assigned project-related tasks.
- Provide technical and scientific materials to support customer discussions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of all projects.
- Work comfortably with Sales teams, thinking quickly to identify and respond to business opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Food Science, Nutritional Science, or a related field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred).
- 5-6 years of experience in dietary supplements or nutraceuticals, with a focus on liquids, powders, and softgels, and experience across multiple dosage forms (liquids, softgels, powders, capsules, and tablets).
- Knowledge of FDA regulations related to dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, food, and cosmetics.
- Experience with formulation software and familiarity with current industry trends.
- Expertise in process R&D, scale-up, and technology transfer in a GMP environment.
- Experience with quality by design (QbD) processes is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
