Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Legal Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in litigation support, client billing, and e-filing, with a proven track record of excellence in a law firm setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including case management, document preparation, and filing.
- Prepare and organize trial materials, exhibits, and witness lists.
- Manage and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
- Coordinate and schedule court appearances, depositions, and client meetings.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
- Draft and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Handle client billing and ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
- Maintain and update the litigation calendar, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Perform State and Federal E-filing duties.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in a law firm.
- Extensive trial preparation and support experience.
- Proficiency in calendaring and managing deadlines.
- Experience with client billing.
- State and Federal E-filing experience.
- Experience with Filesite, iManage, and Aderant software is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
