Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our client's Oncology team.
Based in the New England region, with a focus on Boston, you will play a critical role in driving scientific exchange and providing clinical support to key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and stakeholders within the oncology therapeutic area.
As an MSL, you will utilize your clinical expertise and deep understanding of oncology to communicate key scientific information, support clinical trials, and collaborate on research initiatives.
You will act as a trusted resource in the scientific community, building relationships with KOLs and providing insights that align with company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage and build long-term relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and stakeholders in the oncology field.
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based scientific presentations and discussions to ensure the understanding of product profiles, clinical data, and research pipelines.
- Provide clinical trial support by identifying potential study sites, collaborating with investigators, and offering scientific expertise throughout the research process.
- Serve as a clinical and scientific expert on oncology products and disease areas for internal teams, including medical affairs, clinical development, and marketing.
- Collect and share clinical insights from the field to guide internal strategy and enhance product development.
- Educate KOLs and HCPs on new data, clinical guidelines, and treatment trends in oncology.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of oncology clinical advancements and the competitive landscape.
- Adhere to compliance standards and company policies regarding interactions with KOLs and HCPs.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a scientific or healthcare discipline (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison in oncology or a closely related therapeutic area.
- Strong understanding of oncology treatments, disease management, and current clinical research.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate scientific information to a range of audiences, including KOLs, HCPs, and internal teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a track record of successful collaborations with KOLs and HCPs.
- Ability to travel within the New England region (up to 60%).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting clinical trials in oncology.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and industry best practices for MSLs.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
